Evans Jr., Haywood

Haywood Evans has been Executive Director at L.I.F.E., Inc. since October of 2017. Haywood brings over 20 years of passion and expertise to L.I.F.E., Inc. These experiences include working for the Developmental Disabilities Administration, Charles County Government, and other nonprofits like Grafton Schools and Goodwill Industries of Monocacy Valley. All these positions included collaborating with individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.
Personally, I am so pleased to be a part of this team and am grateful to the individuals for allowing us to serve them and pleased that the employees have allowed us to be their employer of choice.
Chere Torsiello
Sr. Director of Operations

Chere Torsiello joined the L.I.F.E., Inc. family in 2022 as the Sr. Director of Operations. Chere is a Human Services Professional with over 20 years in Non-Profit Leadership, Client-Centered Planning, Motivational Management, Community Partnerships, Program/Policy Initiatives, and Moving the Mission forward through visionary opportunities. She has extensive professional experience in diverse settings with specialized populations including re-entry, homeless prevention, therapeutic and residential foster care, kinship caregivers, developmental & mental health disabilities and individual services in need of crisis care, family preservation & on-going advocacy. Chere is passionate about helping others, learning through differences, & community awareness. Chere is an effective Statewide Trainer in Case Management Services at Empowerment & Caregiver conferences, Maryland Drug Courts, & Non-profit agencies.
Her academics include a B.S. in Clinical Psychology with Graduate work focused on Counseling Psychology & Non-Profit Management. Chere is Certified as a Multisystemic Therapist (MST) & in Family Preservation Therapy at a Graduate collegiate level.

Schulz, Christiane
Chief Financial Officer

Christiane Schulz just celebrated her 15th anniversary as CFO for L.I.F.E., Inc. Christel came to L.I.F.E. because of a family member with developmental disabilities and the need to learn and understand the physical and monetary impact of care needed. Previously, Christel worked in the for-profit sector and brings to L.I.F.E., INC. 40 years of experience. As CFO, she is responsible for managing the fiscal team and serves as a strategic partner in resource management and financial planning. She continues to witness daily the excellent work and care provided by employees dedicated to helping individuals with cognitive and developmental disabilities to lead healthy, happy, and fulfilling lives.
Murchison, Shawan
Director of Community Living

Shawan Murchison, currently serves as the Director of Community Living. Her journey at L.I.F.E., Inc. started in 2006 when she was hired as a Residential Counselor (now known as Direct Support Professionals) to work with individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities in Alternative Living Units. Over the years, she has built up numerous experiences, skills, and memories that has strengthened her abilities such as (not limited to): House Manager, Medical Runner, Transportation, Program Coordinator, Lead Supervisor, On-Call Administrator, and Assistant Director. The years of working various positions has given her more than just skills and experience, but a greater understanding and knowledge of her field of choice.
I am blessed for the memories and rapport I have built with both L.I.F.E., Inc. staff and participants. I get the opportunity to watch our participants live the lives they desire, grow, and pursue living in a free environment. In turn, I get to learn and grow from our participants.
Sanon, Christine
Human Resources Director

Christine M. Sanon brings exceptional experience and human resources acumen to her position as Human Resources Director for L.I.F.E., Inc. Christine joined the L.I.F.E., Inc. team in early 2020. She began her career working for the State of Florida in Child Welfare. She helped parents regain custody of their children by providing case management and found that her passion for helping people went beyond just providing services but also employment. In 2012 Christine relocated to Maryland and decided to shift her focus to working in Human Resources. She holds a Doctorate in Business Administration in Human Resource Management and is SHRM CP certified.
Mccready, Shaunda
Director of Meaningful Day Services

Shaunda McCready has been with L.I.F.E., Inc., for 11 years as Director of Meaningful Day Services and has 20 years of experience working in the DDA field. Shaunda is very passionate about her work and the focus of helping the participants L.I.F.E. serves achieve not only their employment goals but that of becoming one within their community. Shaunda has a B.S. degree in Business Administration with a minor in Marketing. Prior to joining the DDA population, Shaunda’s background was in banking and the accounting field. Shaunda’s focus within her department is teamwork. She recognizes that without the hard work and efforts put forth by her team, most of our participants would not have achieved what they needed.
Shaunda enjoys being a part of the L.I.F.E., Inc. family and looks forward to helping more participants achieve their goals at L.I.F.E., Inc. while experiencing it all in a free environment.
Ndasi, Simon
Healthcare Administrator

Simon Ndasi is the Healthcare Services Administrator, (HSA) for L.I.F.E., Inc. During his 13 years of service with L.I.F.E., Inc. he worked in various positions to include House Manager from 2009 to 2011, and LPN field nurse from 2011 to 2022. Simon holds an active LPN and RN nursing license thanks to the agency. Simon extends appreciation to L.I.F.E., Inc. for giving him the opportunity to transition to my present position and professional nursing certifications.
Alexander, Jarvis
Director of Transportation and Facilities

Jarvis Alexander was hired in 2004 as a Direct Support Professional working 8 hours on Saturdays and Sundays. During his employment with L.I.F.E., Inc. Jarvis has held serval different positions, to include his current title as Transportation & Facilities Director.
What gives Jarvis the motivation and satisfaction to keep coming to work is being able to help people with disabilities which has been his goal for almost 20 years. He thanks L.I.F.E., Inc. for giving him a purpose.
Johnson, Veronica
Director of Adult Medical Day Services

Veronica Johnson became the L.I.F.E., Inc. Director of Adult Medical Day Care Services in 2022. She received her B.A. in Social Work from Providence College in Providence, Rhode Island. Prior to joining L.I.F.E., Inc., Veronica served as a Job Corps Corporate Compliance Auditor, Career Training Director, Deputy Center Director, and the Center Director for Active Day Adult Medical Day Care. Veronica dedicated most of her career to the Department of Labor Job Corps program where she was employed for over 20 years. She builds strong teams and implements compliant, innovative, and impactful programming for her clients. She is resourceful, passionate, and driven. Veronica is also a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.
Munoz, Aidet
Quality Assurance Specialist

Dr. Aidet Munoz joined team L.I.F.E. in 2020 as the Quality Assurance Specialist. Her experience and knowledge in compliance stems from her time at the Bureau of Aging in Carrol County and Goodwill Monocacy Valley. Compliance consists of assuring that all regulations, policies, and procedures are adhered to. Aidet monitors incident trends, patterns and data that result in best practices.
